Free Patterns

Since I haven't been able to crochet, and therefore finish or write the pattern for the other item, this weekend I'm going to type up the pattern for my mom's Christmas gift (Mom, if you're reading this please leave the area!) instead of waiting until after the holidays.

I originally wanted 3/4 length sleeves, with the same little flair that the hip has, but I've gone through all 1200yds I'd painted. I'll try to match it next week, and if I'm successful I'll add the sleeves to the pattern. I also plan to make a thinner belt maybe in solid chocolate so she'll have two options.

The photo is below-I hope you like it!

Finishing:
Sew shoulder and side seams together. With right side facing, attach yarn at left bottom front corner. Work sc ch1 in each dc across bottom, in bottom right corner work sc, ch 1, sc. Sc, ch2 in side of each dc up inside of right front bottom. Sc in side of each sc row (2scs), ch4, skip side of next dc row (buttonhole made). Continue with sc, ch2 in side of next dc. Continue in this fashion spacing 4 buttonholes evenly across top side with last buttonhole placed on row before collar decrease begins. At turn for collar decrease make sc, ch 1, sc. Continue working sc, ch2 in side of each dc up collar. At back collar work sc, ch1 in each dc. Sc, ch 2 in sides of dcs at collar. Sc, ch 1, sc, where collar turns, sc, ch2 in sides of dcs down front to 2 sc rows, sc in side of each sc row, continues down bottom front with sc, ch2 in side of each dc. At bottom corner, in sp where yarn was original attached, work sc, ch1, sl st into first sc. Fasten off. Work armholes in same manner. Sew buttons on. Weave in ends.
