Buying Patterns

I do a lot of research on the internet and I can't believe how many times I have seen and heard of individual patterns and pattern lots for sale that are/include patterns that can be found for free on the internet. It is very unfortunate that someone would intentionally do such a thing (unless it's the designer who would then have that right). It is not just a copyright violation, and therefore stealing from the designer, it is also stealing from the person making the purchase. If any of you find this to be the case I recommend reporting it to the auction site.

My best advise is, before you buy, check www.crochetpatterncentral.com or www.knittingpatterncentral.com. If the pattern is free and has a photo, it can be found in their free pattern directories.
